PROTECT OUR POZZIE

White-baiting is the lifeblood of the West Coast. It is a much-loved tradition that has been upheld for generations. Unfortunately, the whitebait population has been on a steady decline for decades, largely due to unregulated fishing, pollution, and habitat destruction. Protect Our Pozzie targets the salt-of-the-earth West Coast locals, who are territorial and passionate people in New Zealand. I took a very non-aggressive approach to the issue, leaning towards a community-led initiative that locals and get behind rather than a governmental power sent to stop them from enjoying what they love.
