CAPITAL

Capital is a line of charcoal-based beauty products targeted and a gender neutral audience. For this school project, we were asked to take inspiration from a location in New Zealand to base a line of beauty products in collaboration with Mecca. Growing up on the West Coast, I decided to choose somewhere close to home. Charleston is a small drive-through town 20 minutes out of Westport that has a rich history of gold and coal mining and was at one point in consideration to become New Zealand's Capital, hence the name.  I wanted the design to reflect a combination of the present-day raw, wild nature of the area and its rich historical background.
